Health Data: Step count data from Apple Health (with your permission). This data is used solely to display your step statistics and enable social features.
Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account.
Social Data: Friend connections, group memberships, and leaderboard rankings.
Device Information: Device type and push notification tokens (if notifications are enabled).

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Show your position on leaderboards

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Your health data is never sold to third parties.

Data Sharing

We share limited data only in the following ways:

With Friends: Your step count, display name, and profile are visible to users you add as friends.
In Groups: Your step count and display name are visible to other group members.
On Leaderboards: Your display name and step count appear on leaderboards you participate in.

We never sell your personal data or health information to third parties.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Delete your account and all associated data
Revoke health data permissions at any time
Opt out of push notifications

Health Data

Stepp requests read-only access to your step count from Apple Health. We do not write any data to Apple Health. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy > Health.

Children's Privacy

Stepp is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
