1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Stepp, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Stepp is a social fitness app that allows you to:

Track your daily steps via Apple Health integration
Connect with friends and view their step counts
Join groups and participate in step challenges
Compete on leaderboards
Earn badges and rewards

3. Account Registration

To use Stepp, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any illegal purpose
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Manipulate step counts or cheat on leaderboards
Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the app
Share inappropriate content in group names or profiles

5. Premium Subscription

Stepp offers a premium subscription with additional features:

Subscriptions are billed monthly through the App Store
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
No refunds for partial subscription periods

6. Health Data

Stepp accesses your step count data from Apple Health with your permission. This data is:

Used solely to provide app functionality
Shared with friends and group members as part of the service
Not sold to third parties
Deletable upon account deletion

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Stepp are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Stepp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Accuracy of step count data
Uninterrupted or error-free service
Specific health or fitness results

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stepp and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
